How can I register for Latin Pay?

What is required in order to get the prepaid reloadable card and wallet?

Basic information such as name, phone number and address is required. A social security number is requested but not required. However, in lieu of a SSN, a customer can choose from a number of other options that would provide proof of identity and address. A valid government-issued ID is required.

Can I get the prepaid card if I don’t have a social security card?

Yes. But you will need to provide additional information, including proof of address.

Can I register the wallet and card in my child’s name?

No.

What age do you need to be?

18 or older. Scott to confirm.

How can I load funds to my account?

Customers can easily fund their account at more than 150,000 reload points through participating locations.

Can I load funds from my bank account if I don’t want to travel to a store to load funds?

Yes.

If I transfer funds to another country, how will be family member/friend receive it?

This is dependent on the destination country. Some countries designate certain spots where you pick it up. It can be sent directly to a bank account. It depends on the country of destination.

Does the card help build credit?

No.

Can I use my card/wallet to purchase things online?

Yes

What are the fees associated with the card?

There is a $2 monthly fee that is waived if there is a monthly spend of $500. On foreign transaction it is up to 2 percent of the purchase amount. No charge for cash back or direct deposit. No charge for loading the card when using GreenDot.

Can you get two cards under the same account with different names on the cards?

What is the difference between Latin Pay and other prepaid reloadable cards and wallets out there?

One of the differences is that this one is linked to your wallet. You have access to other benefits of the platform such as online bill pay, money transfer, purchasing lottery tickets and more. It is all-in-one. There is not another option out there that allows you to do it all under a single platform.

How does the fees compare to others?

What happens if I lose my card and there is fraudulent activity on my account?

A prepaid card is just like cash, so you need to protect it just like cash. If you lose the card call for a replacement immediately. The older card will no longer be linked to the account.
